Okay, picked up an NC30 that has been stood about 6 years after being used as a track bike. Draind the fuel and put some fresh in and started the motor after a lot of cranking but it just didn't sound right.
Checked the plugs and leads first but No.4 the lead just pulled out and left the plug so..
**Where can i buy a plug or is it possible to re-make the lead off into the plug cap?? (I noticed that the lead with re-twist back onto the screw in the HT unit).
Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: NC 30 Coil / HT Plug
Hi Geoff and welcome to the forum.
Just push it back in and try it with a spark tester if you've got one.
You're going to be getting new leads anyway I'd guess so if you can get some localy I'd do that. Get the best you can afford.
Have you changed the oil before cranking it? After 6 years the oil with be crap. Best to do that asap if not, then turn it over with the kill switch off for 30 secs to build some fuel and oil pressure.
It'd be worth checking the plug gaps, air filter and even cleaning the carb if you can.
A good testimony to the engine that it started at all after that length of time.
Cheers,
Duncan

Re: NC 30 Coil / HT Plug
Yes i had a good look at pushing the lead back into the cap but i don't think its going to happen. I have seen on Ebay that i can get 2 x leads and HT box for about £11 so might give that a try.
It needs a service so i intend to Change oil, check valve clearances, balance carbs and do the oild filter. I found a new air filter in there so that's good news.
I will change the plugs and try to run it for a minute just to check it runs on all cylinders etc and then turn it off and give it a big service.
*** Seems like a good site so i am sure i can be a regular

Yep, this is the place to be for info, help and advice Geoff.
Just by searching through the old posts you can find most things.
Some very skilled and clever people on here too with many years of experience.
A cheap Haynes Manual off ebay would be a good investment. You can download the workshop manual for free.
