NC30 Running Dodgy

Post by lazyboydobby » Sun Aug 01, 2010 2:15 pm

I have done approximatley 1000 miles on my nc30 since i purchased it. its done a total of 26000. I was on the way to work this morning when it started performing worse. when reving the engine its sluggish to pick up. even when in neutral.

Any Idea's???

Possibly not getting enough fuel cos of blocked filter/dirty carb circuits, fuel tap faulty, choke circuit blocked, fouled plug/s, dirty fuel, flat battery because the reg/rect isnt recharging it.. Those would be the most obvious to check first

By sluggish you mean theres a flat spot at a certain spot in the rev range? If it improves when bike warmed up it probably running lean, and riching out a bit when warm.. Try running with part choke, to see if it improves things.. If the engine doesnt rev freely, its prob running on 3 cyls, feel the exhausts to see which is cold.. You prob need to take the carbs off to clean and check them, only way to be sure & its not a big job
