Hi folks
I'm looking to make a few changes to my RVF and was looking for some help/advice if possible???
I'm looking to see if there is a way of upgrading the front forks to a set that have radial brake caliper mounts?? Is it possible that a set of recent CBR600RR front forks will fit the RVF or is there another type/brand that will do this, or is it a lost cause and best to keep the standard set-up even though it is starting to look a bit dated???
As for the rear, what's the best option to go with?? I currently have the standard rear shock fitted but again it is starting to look a bit dated and I want to know what options I have?? Ideally I would like to fit some sort of Ohlins unit, the newer the better, but my options seem to be a bit limited as far as buying new is concerned, so what options are available for the rear???
Thanks in advance for anyones help/advice in this matter and I look forward to reading your replies.
Regards

I dont know of any options for the front, but you could get a nice maxton or nitron for the rear, and maybe have your front rebuilt and set up.
Im pretty sure that sp1 calipers fit straight on, i may be wrong though.

Radial GSXR front ends have been grafted on in the past, any front end is possible if you put the work into it. As for the rear you have as much choice as any other bike really, Maxton, WP, Nitron, Penske, Ohlins and many others all do shocks for the NC.

A CBR 954rr fornt forks will fit on but you might have to get a custom spindle made or run CBR 954 wheel and brake discs. for the rear i've been searching for the right rear shock it looks like the Nitron is the best value for money but you can't get much better than penske but you have to be ready to pay for it.

Do you mean the 954 forks will fit properly through the rvf yokes?jamesbutler wrote:A CBR 954rr fornt forks will fit on but you might have to get a custom spindle made or run CBR 954 wheel and brake discs. for the rear i've been searching for the right rear shock it looks like the Nitron is the best value for money but you can't get much better than penske but you have to be ready to pay for it.
