Also interested to know - would rather 4-pots over the sliders. Maybe someone makes an adapter plate to fit NC30 calipers?

You can fit the nc30 lowers to the nc23 stanctions.. then you can plug and play the nc30 callipers
works a treat..
To improve braking further you can fit a master cylinder from a bigger bike such as a fireblade as they have larger pistons in them to move the fluid down the line..
To improve things further Rick Oliver does some adapter plates so that you can fit a certain brembo caliper. Think its the one with 2 bolts going through the pads..

Re: NC23 Brake upgrade
In fact I have a spare set of nc30 calipers with the brake hoses, master cylinder and lever all complete.
They do need a good going over, taking apart regreasing and cleaning the pistons etc.

Re: NC23 Brake upgrade
I'm fitting nc29 wheels to my bike will these be ok if I fitted the nc30 lowers? You can fit the nc30 lowers to the nc23 stanctions.. then you can plug and play the nc30 callipers
and would I use the front spindle and spacers I have now or the nc30 ones?
also would I need the front mud guard off a nc30?
and last but not least how much are you looking at for the calipers?
I'll have an idea of the cost then to compare with just having the nc23 callipers refurbed ....

Re: NC23 Brake upgrade
Full caliper rebuild, EBC ductile iron discs, performance friction pads, braided lines, silicon fluid and a CBR1000RR radial master cylinder did it for me and all pretty cheap thanks to 400GB and a few mates.
Stops like crazy but there is magnificent feel in the brakes as well.

I have found a set of NSR250 4 pots i am fitting them to the NC23 racebike , its looking like a simple convertion so far but i havnt actually fitted them yet , just done a few measurments and stuff.

Re: NC23 Brake upgrade
there is nothing wwrong with the sliding calipers as long as they have had a full rebuild.
I have standard calipers, EBC discs, Carbone lorrain pads, HEL lines and CBR6 master cylinder, fantastic feel and will easily lift the back wheel under hard braking...
dont put caliper adapters on all you are doing is adding unsprung weight.
