RVF gearbox

Post by scoops » Sat Jun 12, 2010 10:49 pm

Hi guys

Is the gearbox of the RVF and VFR the same? Ok to swap one for the other?

And a very long shot, would bits inside a CB400 box go inside a RVF box?

Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated!

RVF and VFR are not the same but are interchangeable. Only difference is the first 3 gear ratios.

The CB400 gearbox won't fit, but it might share some of the parts between the VFR and RVF.

Do you know how different the first 3 gears are? Are they shorter ot taller?
Thanks

Scoops,

Get a RVF box if you can, NC30 box in RVF is really hard to get off the line, better once on move but you will loose places at start of a race.
Belive me I have been through it!! ;)
If my motor does not sell on ebay tonight I may strip it, if you dont get sorted drop me a line.
