Undo the two 12mm bolts on the top of the swingarm and it just turns.

If it doesn't turn it's probably siezed solid which means removing the hub and having a good clean up.

I'm intrigued by this comment, there no such dedicated spanner (just a standard 12mm jobbie as Neo says), can you provide a picture or a better description, I'm thinking you've got yourself an NC30/35 or RC36 type 'C' spanner which will do absolutely nothing on an NC24, let us know ;)

As Neo says just loosen the 2 locking bolts. I use an old allen key that just fits into the holes in the hub to turn the inner hub which is offset inside the outer part so when you turn it the wheel goes back or forward.

That really shouldn't fit an NC24 (the ad claims it's for NC30/35 which it is made for) and it certainly won't turn it. The NC24 adjustment method is significantly different to the latter V4 400s.

If you look at the very rear of the swing arm you'll see two bolts which act to close a small gap in the hub housing, look further round and you'll see an aperture in the casting which exposes the surface of the hub unit, in which you will see two holes. Having withdrawn the two bolts, insert as tight a fit lever, Allan keys work well, into one of the holes, try moving that up or down, if it does move you'll find a series of holes and thus your adjustment. If it doesn't move you'll have to provide lubrication (half a can of plus-gas should do) or worst case, dissemble it and clean it up. Adjust as necessary, nip the bolts back tight (sorry couldn't find a specific torque setting) and Bob's either your Father or Mother's brother or the guy that calls round when your dads on nights...erm you get what I mean :sshh:

Erm...

I wouldn't say the method is significantly different.. the hubs are quite similar and both adjustments are made by turning the hub.

The NC24 definatly has the better designed hub. I don't know why it was changed for the NC30, it uses the same bearings.

The NC30 / 35 only have 1 bolt at the rear of the swingarm and their adjuster is like cheese... the NC24 hub has deep slots that are a lot harder (but not impossible) to chew up.

Make sure you insert something thats a tight fit.

The two bolts don't need to be taken out, there only pinch bolts, just slacken then off.

If can be easier to turn if you lift the rear wheel to take the weight of it.

Look up / under the rear of the swingarm.

You might be able to bodge the C spanner to fit but just use an allen key or similar.

Ah good call on the headlights.

My friend runs his NC24 with the 400z bodywork during the summer months.

You need the clock brackets and indicators to do it properly but all parts are obtainable.. especially if you live in Japan ;)

Some pics for inspiration
