Hey all, I have a ram air kit fitted to my race bike which I run a fuel pump, first run today and it sounds like the pump stops priming fuel and then air locks, any ideas on it, I have mounted normal place etc and seems to run good on idle, balaneces carbs running 136's all round etc, I can't afford dyno time ATM either
Any ideas
Dave

Re: Ram air( getting it running rite)
What pump is it, thats what they sound like, pumps fuel, till upto pressure, then cuts out, other wise would just fill your air box with fuel and fill your bores with petrol, not a good thing, I know I have had pumps that don't cut out(faulty) and can be a nightmare
What makes you say its airlocking?

Well sometimes it works and then sometimes it dosent and carrys on trying to pump but not cutting off, but if I bench test it it's fine, wondering something rong with my tap but it let's fuel out,
it has been working and now it isn't which is a rite pain as you can imagine, the pump is off a zx4 which I was recommended, I'm abit clueless I will ask around this weekend as in away at brands for ng race
