so ive got a very strange thing happening to my nc. when the bike is cold the bike shift to neutral perfectly with the engine running, but when the bike get hot it wont shift to neutral with out the engine stopped.
for me this seems like the clutch, and it does creep forward in gear and clutch lever depressed (when hot)so ive had the clutch cover off to check the plates lifting of the pressure plate with the lever depressed and all looks good, the first plates up to the one way clutch lift apart with good space between.
how ever the problem does not go away with cable adjustment. the clutch was replaced not so long ago with a new basket + properly specked up plates.
any ideas? (can any one give me the lenght of the the lifter rod?)

my nc has a trouble shifting in to neutral , if i pull the clutch so it bites then quickly pull in then shift it goes in to neutral ok , had this prob on every 2 stroke machine ive ever owned too so im kind of used to it , but not had to switch the motor off to shift ,

Mart, I think this is one of the NC's characteristics. Both my bikes do this as do a lot of others. If you pick the revs up to about 4k moving or stationary it will slot in neutral easily. Give it a try

as said i find a blip to the throttle gets it in everytime

Confirmed.

Found this out for myself... both my NC30s were the same. To the extend that no matter what the bike or how easily it find neutral I still blip the throttle and slightly ride the clutch to get her to slot into neutral.

Both my nc's do that and my yzf. You get used to it after a while and as others have mentioned just blip the throttle while stationary and it justs slips in, most of the time anyway.

How many miles does it have?

It seems to be a characteristic of the bike, but it could also be caused / exaggurated by worn parts.

FactoryPro also do a shift kit for the bike but it's $200.00
