NC24 carbs

Post by Indiana Jones » Mon Nov 02, 2009 7:01 pm

Can anyone tell me if all NC24 carbs come with the HRC style slides that fit in NC30 carbs?
The bottom of the slides aren't flat, but have a curved bottom.

Mine are rounded too. Don't know if they're all like that though.

Not all nc24 carbs I've seen have had them.

All nc21 carbs that I've seen have had them (R and Z model).

I have brought quite a few sets now for my nc30's, best to ask for a pic before you buy!

I think all NC24 models should have rounded slides as theres only 1 part number for the slide. Maybe you brought a set that had been changed :-)

Picked up a set of NC24 carbs today.
Rounded ends and 8ZF needles.
35 euro.
I'm happy.
Do these carbs fit the NC30?
What are the differences?

Ah there standard then.. 115 jets? Try them, I think they probably should.

Well, apart from the jetting there isn't a lot really.

8zf needles are later nc30 hrc, nice one. Standard nc24 needles are 8zc.

There are quite a few differences between the 30 and 24 carbs. If you plan to go down the hrc carb route (which it sounds like you are) you'd be better off with the 30 carbs. The air jet circuit is different meaning different jetting setup needed between the 2 carbs. There are some improvements with the choke system on the 30 carbs also, not a huge difference though.

115 all round. I thought they were 8zf,no reason to think otherwise,I'll have to check again.
They are a heavy carb set....
Just checked,8zc.......
My mistake.
