Hi guys, hoping someone can shed some light on what i need to do to resolve a problem with my carbs, the throttle seems to be really stiff and takes a long time to return to zero. I've currently got the carbs off the bike and throttle cables disconnected so it's not a problem with them, it seems to be the carbs themselves. This is a lot worse with the throttle cables attatched and trying it as if running bike. From outside view, nothing seems to be caked in muck etc but i'd rather get your opinions before taking them apart as i don't have a clue where to start troubleshooting

I've taken a video of the problem, and also tried to include a view of how loose the 4 return spring are (they seem very loose to me but maybe normal?)

Nothing wrong with those springs, they appear to be ok from what I can see. The Springs are like that on both my sets of carbs and I dont have this problem.

On the Middle of the Carbs, or in between the carbs I should say, there is a small nut, I think the Head is only 10mm, maybe 11mm as its an awkward one. The Nut attatches to the plastic/metal piece that goes through the Carbs and holds the butterflys inside the carb. It should have a spring covering it and a washer behind it.
You may find this nut has been done slightly too tight which will cause this problem if the Carbs have been taken apart at any point? Slackening it off, literally by quarter of a turn might help resolve the problem.

Other than that I really cant think of what else it might be?

Thanks for the reply hamster, tried loosening that 11mm nut with no joy, the problem just stayed exactly the same whether loosening or tightening it.
