NEED TO FIND!!!!!! CAN YOU HELP...

Post by Moore » Fri Jun 26, 2009 8:30 pm

Hi, im a little puzzled.. :?
I need to find out where i can get the x2 exhaust rings that are located in the rear manifold!!!
i have replaced all 4 gaskets into cylinder,, but i dont remember removing any rings from manifold when i bought/started my nc30 project.
it shows and tells you in the bike manual to install x2 exhaust rings.

But i just dont seem to be able to source any information where to buy them from!!!
Only find exhaust gaskets,,, Can i use x2 of those in there instead, surely they would fit :?:

ANYBODY ABLE TO SHINE SOME LIGHT ON THIS SUBJECT,,, PLEASE.

ALSO, any info on raising the rear end of my bike, has 17" rear wheel, new HAGON shoker, but bike has standard nc30 dogbone and linkages..
i read a thread of this site and sombody mentiond rvf DB + linkages!! sombody mentiond they had
drilled there standard nc30 dogbone.. HOW DOSE THIS WORK!

They are the same gaskets as the ones in the exhaust ports so just use them.

Ref your dogbone - the RVF is shorter, by 8mm I think, and so you need to drill new holes in your VFR one that are 8mm further in. You could then fill the old holes with weld and you rare sorted. I am posting a VFR linkage to spike and so when he mods that hopefully he'll stick some piccies up..

Also - you could look for some old posts where Mruehl, and V4chris have each made a linkage using theaded bar so it is adjustable for height.

The gaskets are different part numbers, so if you’re going to order them, might as well get the right ones for the job.

Exhaust port (x 4) : 18291-216-000.
Rear Header Pipe (x 2) : 18291-MR8-000.

Maybe someone could share a fiche of the NC30 with you? You’ll be able to spot the parts you need and order them either from a Honda dealer or someone like David Silvers.

The current part# for the exhaust port gasket is 18291-MN5-650, the `MR8` number is still good for the other one. They are identical except that the port one is copper cased and the header one is alloy.

I`ve always got both in stock @ £2 each...
