I'm familiar with TPS on Ducatis, but they're fuel injected and it controls the injection - so what does the TPS control on the CBR?
What happens if it's faulty?

thats a very funny thing, because i was looking at my bike this morning waitting for people to get to work to let me in, (irelivent) but anyways. i was looking at my throttle position sensor and though, i wonder why it has that?. like you say, a fuel injection bike will have one, hmm i dunno. has anyone looked into it?

TSP doesn't influent on tabulation of mixture, it generally give information about position (or speed of opening) of engine throttle and allow ignition unit control optimize ignition dwell angle.
PS: Sorry for my english...

You can check wiring loom, but TPS fully connected with CDI.

Thanks Parus
That explains it well. My mechanical knowledge isn't good enough to fully understand what it does, but I get a good idea.

Remember, even though its wired to the ECU, its not needed and removing wont affect the performance of the bike (well not at least on a HRC ECU) I've just cut them off. Col
