To top it off oil leak has come back and i've just burnt my forehead on the exhaust manifold trying to find where it's coming from :(
Ok.. so it's going LEAN at 5-6k now... thats a classic 30 hole.

Have you got any shims under your needles?

There easier to check.. if you whip the caps off you'll see the needles / diagphram everything else.. I think as standard they have a single washer under them.. Rick-O sells shims to put under there... If you raise them by 1mm (put in an extra one of ricks washers) it'll richen up the mid-range

yeah, i have 2 0.5mm washers on each carb/needle and belive i have had the holes drilled out as per camos tut. :x

new jets perhapps, guess thats chaper than plugs?

thinking about it i'll have a word with pugparcels and see if i can borrow his carbs as i know he has 120 all round in his carbs. Guess thats the best logical step as if it's still doing the same with those it has to be the plugs????

cheers

will have a digg out tonight, pretty sure i still have 4 densos & some 120 jets, well say 120 jets they were 115's that i drilled out to 120 (ish) to save me buying jets that may not do the job. these gave me a good enough indication that i needed bigger jets and 120's all round did the job.

if i can find them, your more than welcome to try them. ( i've had a tidy up sicne thrusday so hopefully i can find them! )

haha i wouldn't recommend it. You get an hour of pain followed by days of ridicule. I'm dreading going back to work tomorrow :(

took all the plugs out today cleaned and re-gapped them and also loosened of the clutch cable a bit and it seams to have made a bit of a difference. I can now get upto 3/4 throttle and it pulls a lot harder. Still dosen't like full throttle and even at 3/4 throttle it struggles to get past 11kish rpm. It feels like it's struggling to get enough fuel, so i guess the next step is to try some bigger jets.

Does any one know what size the manifold studs are? I need to retap/helicoil one of the front ones but not sure what size i need as there all listed in 'M' sizes. I measured the stud with the vernier and it's 5.7mm diamiter but not sure what that translates too.

Also managed to fix the oil leak properly so a quite productive day. :)

Cheers

Russ
