I want an ignitech - anything to be able to plug may laptop into the bike at the track and look more professional! Good kit.

Very 'Special' indeed

The actual, CDI is nowhere to be found and you are better to spend your money on an ignitech CDI.
This is exactly it - the reason the box, to be fitted in serial is added, is so you can remove the speedometer without the bike going into the limp home mode. This is where the bike cuts to 2 cylinders at 5.5k revs.atac wrote:On the german Model (which i have) and the austrian there was never been a speed restrictor. Honda Austria offers a full HRC KIT which includes some parts like Exhaust, Carburator, needles jets, fuel tap, CDI, Cam, Airbox, air inlet etc and some other stuff. I am looking for a CDI from that KIT. On the official HRC Part list for the 1992 NC30 is on page 18 a inlet box described!! which will be installed in serial to an common with the stock CDI.
Now i read here, that this inlet box will be only a speed derestrictor? I am little confused, because why should they offer a deristrictor box if Austrian and german models never been restricted?
2. ignitech-maybe good idea- its the HRC ignition curve the same as on the real HRC cdi (wich ever will be that:-)
Thanks for help

the SP box, is somewhat subject to controversy, atac wrote:ah slowly comes light in my darkness. OK its called SP box. Questions :
- with added sp box the ignition curve/ rev limit is the same as stock (without speed limit)?
a german dealer told me, that part allows a increase of ~1 krpm to 15.5 (stock 14.5) is this right?
- a increase rev up to 15.5 plus ignition time +4 degree only allows the rare right HRC CDI as replacement for the stock cdi, correct?
WOULD HONDA HRC build a weighty box when you could just add a resistor to a racebike?
500g vs 1g? £200+ vs 14p?
