Check out for chain alignment if you get a 30 engine into a 35. Output gearshaft on 35 is a little longer and has wider spacer (+5mm) , so you will need to space the front sprocket to the left if using a 30 engine.

Re: 30 engine into 35
ok so i should be looking to put a 5mm spacer between the engine and the sprocket - is that right?

Mo, yes im pretty sure you need the spacer between the engine and the sprocket, i forgot to check mine for allingment this morning but its in the van now ready for the MOT so i'll have a look when im back.
You cant go putting that heavy NC one in there.
Theres only 1 option here pal, well 2 actually. 1. K6/7 Gixxer kit or 2. Durbahns trick kitmo haggs wrote:pick-ups and starter clutch assy have been fitted so i am now on the hunt for a flywheel ant generator assy

the gixer kit is going to cost around £400 when you add the RO mounting plate

what's the Durbahns trick kit? EDIT: 818.98usd

both a bit pricey

818.98 EURO!!! vat inclusive.
Did a research a couple of years ago, when Durbahn did not have the nc alternator(just the RC30 one), and found out he uses a ducati race alternator. Well you know how things go... you can buy a race alternator from ducati$$$, or else, with some more research, find out it is the same one used for the ducati 750 bevelhead, and ready available from electrex world new(stator+rotor 210gbp inclus. vat). The expensive part is getting the stator housing made. So once again, some more hours of research and found a moto guzzi breva housing that will do the job with some machining. You will also need a single phase RecReg(fleabay). In the end it should be under 350GBP for a Durbahn alike alternator.( I dont know the exact price for the guzzi housing).
I am just trying to decide which way to go, and my only concern with RO setup is the cover breaking in case of a spill.
About spacing the sprocket, I had to do it the other way round, 35 engine in 30 frame, so had to space out rear sprocket carrier. Please check for exact offset as 5mm quoted from memory... and did this 3 years ago.
