@ SA racing - the EMRA roadstocks have no regs regarding charging systems etc and so as the reg rec plug was dying I whipped it off. I have left starter on and if required I'll refit the genny etc, just need some spades to do it... This is different to the Bemsee Streetstock class in a few ways

@ Kris- Universal fitment stomp grip -cut to fit.

heyhey I know them rearsets, how they working out for you? gd luck at weekend, so whats the deal with emra's road stocks then? u can have total loss but u have to have a brake light? seems wierd recon they will let me run a round with no lights if I dont get champ points?

Hi, my mate has a quick relese high current connector he uses in his breakdown truck he uses for his jump leads so he can just plug them in rather than pratting about try to get at the battery every time.
I'll try and find out were he got them from, they would be perfect for jumping your bike off, just plug in big battery start and disconnect, tho i suppose you could bump it off but it wouldnt look as posh.....

think your on about anderson leads, they're way to big for a small battery on a bike, better off just using an optimate connection which essentially it is and if your bumping a 400 its not too difficult

Can you get the right connection with croc clips on then? Any idea what it is called - that plug? Square bit and round bit?

Bumping bikes is a ballache and a half..does my head in.

I'll start it up, get it warm, keep it on charge and whizz it ont he starter. Am running a YTX9 for now anyways as I have no idea how much juice it takes for 15 mins of running...

What rating is your Numax battery Si?

Ive seen the Anderson connector on an R1 race bike, looked very professional. Obviously the right kit for the job ?

Yeah he replied to me email and said its an anderson connector, you can get various ratings and sizes on ebay.

Cheers Ian..I'll see if I can source one before the weekend. if not, I'll chop an optimate extender and reverse the plugs so i can piggy back the battery and jump start it.

sorted.

Just need to paint the fairing, trim the mudguard, bed the clutch in, bed the discs in, not fall off, try to go faster and sort my Mondingo out as it is being a git and has a flat battery!

We use anderson connectors and battery boosters on all the historic race cars we prep, on sports racers usually to help start them but as more of a quick backup on the others (gt's and saloons) incase they dont start up just before their race, means no messing about with jump leads etc
