Ah sorry, I didn't give feedback. A go at syncing the carb using the drill bit method sorted out the idle problem.

Check your cables it could just be a bit tight one on the return i would try different locks - check the obviouse first then into leaks etc.

edit: my uknc30 always didn't like it from tick over it would bog and stop at times a full strip down and clean has improved a great deal, however on the road a fault didn't show up when moving they can be finiky to set up.
