Show me a picture of the gold screws on carbs or ports, I can't visualize them.

No they just keep all the carbs together attached to the tray and the rubber inlets mounted onto each carb. Have you cleaned the gauze filters in each carb yet? To get to them you need to remove the float, when you do then unscrew the float valve, the place where the small float needle thing goes down into. There should be a filter on the end of it or it may well be stuck in the bottom.

Yes the filters were all spotless mate. Haven't got a clue now. Another dead end. I know I could just buy replacement carbs but I don't want these bastards beating me. I will win lolTommyTheGun wrote:No they just keep all the carbs together attached to the tray and the rubber inlets mounted onto each carb. Have you cleaned the gauze filters in each carb yet? Do the back two come to life at all if you wind the idle screw up fully to give higher revs?

Re: NC30 running on 3.
They both must fire a tiny bit but only enough to make the pipe warm. If I cover the rear inlets it doesn't really affect the revs. When I ride it on the road I'm pretty sure they kick in quite a bit but again, it's intermittent. The worst type of fault!TommyTheGun wrote:Do the back two come to life at all if you wind the idle screw up fully to give higher revs?

Are you getting a decent spark in the rear two? Did the rear two cylinders fire ok when you put the carbs on reverse?

Yeah when I reversed the carbs the problem reversed so definitely a carb problem. The front cylinders were firing quite a bit though and all 4 pipes got red hot.TommyTheGun wrote:Are you getting a decent spark in the rear two? Did the rear two cylinders fire ok when you put the carbs on reverse?

Thats a strange one, dunno what else to suggest apart from balancing using proper vacuum gauges.

Yes, those filters are normally clean, but run out of ideas now , but I would soon sort it out in my garage as it must be a simple fault.mitchyboy01 wrote:

I do have final solution, however, but costly.
