Re: New to the VFR4R - My tail of two
Can't remember the model, I took measurements of what was needed and looked around a breakers.
There seems to be 2 types, [1988 to 1996?] each with different bends, but the pedal rubber ending up in the same position.
They are pressed steel so can be bent to suit.
CG 125 fit as well.
I have seen the better cast aluminium ones fitted, but don't know what from.

Cheers, I'll have a look at the local breakers for one.arsey30 wrote:Can't remember the model, I took measurements of what was needed and looked around a breakers.

Yes, there should be a rubber seal around the headlight to stop the light from bleeding back into the cockpit at night time.RRossi wrote:Started stripping the Blue VFR today so I can get parts powdercoated in black.

Quite a few people have had success cutting up bicycle inner tubes and glueing them together to form a seal similar to the oem one.

Re: New to the VFR4R - My tail of two
Long awaited updates,
Well I have received my package form Rick of uprated front springs and so on and have had it all fitted and sorted and I have tried to source a rear shock that wont cost an arm and leg but couldn't so just bit the bullet and bought a Wilber's rear with remote canister that is fully adjustable so that should be here in a week or two now and following on from this I wanted to get them wheels powder coated in gold but they just could not get the right colour so played it safe and when black.
Below are a few pics of how she sits along with the CQuarts coating I am trailing on the wheels. (I run a bike only detailing company in Australia called Clean Ride) they llok really good and the finish came out A1, will need to see how it last on general riding before I can offer it to clients?

big question I have is I bought these radiators from Ebay and upon taking the old ones off I noticed the top rad is straight and not curved? I only really bought them as I wanted a new look, there is nothing wrong with the old one, will it still fit or am I in world of pain and should just spray up the old ones and STFU? any help??

and second question is the exhaust system? is the factory?? as my blue one looks a little different and im not sure if there were just a few different factory version?? I will have the buffed to mirror chrome shortly, stay tunned!

any help you can offer I would be eternally great full :)

Those Chinese rads are usually no problem - depending on how they have positioned the brackets you may have to trim the fairing slightly, also check for full-bump clearance between the bottom edge of the upper radiator and the front mudguard/tyre.
The pipework in your pics is a Japanese aftermarket half system using the OE front cylinder downpipes - neither the welded on heatshield nor the can are original to that system, I think...
