Yeah I think you are probably right. Was anyone successful with the 2004 CBR600rr shock swap? There are a few threads on here but it seems some people who tried it were unsuccessful, others disappeared without confirming they completed the job.

I cant remember the guy who was trying to get that finished but from the more serious guy doing it the shock needed revalve/ spring setting upto the bike and the geomarty of the bike was a bit messed up if i recall correctly. both hagon and nitron do or did make shocks might be worht contacing them for availbailty and price if your serious get a starting price on something guaranteed to work
