Nc30 misfiring, help

cheers, ill try that first before i invest in the float valves £35 is a lot of money for something that i might not need. ill check the float heights and report back after that.

just thought id update this one, whipped the carbs off yesterday and reset the float heights, had two which were out, also one of the float bowl gaskets looked a bit worse for wear, i used some sealent to make sure they were all sealed, refitted them and though it misfired at first, it cleared fairly quickly this time. and after a minute or so was idling a treat, no irratic idle and revved really smoothly for once.
i havent restarted if from cold as yet so not sure if the misfiring is cured, i did notice by spraying water on the pipes that the l/h/f cylinder was not firing, at first.
my question is would an incorrect float height allow fuel to leak in to the bore, or would that only happen if the float valve is knackered? all valves looked fine upon inspection, but im fairly sure the one which was out was the on that cylinder.
might be a co incidence i guess...
failing that, at least i now know which cylinder is misfiring, and next step would be to try a new coil pack.
