Re: Sludge
Yes I have a catch tank at the top of my tumble drier which I'm guessing does the same job as a dehumidifier but for a different application. Either way it seems I now ave an endless source of distilled water. I'm feeling all Col Hannibal Smith at the moment lol.

Re: Sludge
Or you can just go and buy some distilled water. It is actually cheaper than bottled drinking water.

Re: Sludge
And bottled drinking water still has minerals in it.

Re: Sludge
Put some anti-freeze in there too, it contains corrosion inhibitants to stop the cooling system corroding! :)
Most likely as been noted years of being run on tap water without anti-freeze.
Just like the minerals clog up shower heads and kettles they do the same to the bike.
Good flush out with a hose pipe stuck in all ways to declog everything. You can get chemical treatments, I used a 2 part (acid / neutraliser combo) on my 24 that was really bad and it came up like new.
Anti-freeze / distilled water changed and the recommended intervals and no problems with it since, that was in 2008 I did that so coming upto 5 years.
