I wasn't knocking you mate i fully understand your situation and why you thought getting dealer backup would be right for you but your soon realise the extra you pay really isn't worth it, especially when their trying to pull the wool over your eyes and saying its your fault.
Don't accept their lies anymore and don't hesitate to come back here for advice on anything they tell you.
You still haven't told us what problems you're having with the bike, i know you've said that you've been told the carbs are blocked but if you give us the symptoms we might well be able to diagnose it so you have some ammo when you talk to the dealer.

Re: NC35 Carb issues
No i no you wernt, i reallly appreciate the time and advice your giving me :) The problem i have is that it wont idle, as soon as it gets lower than 3000 it just starts to loose power, and if you leave it, it stalls... it will run fine anything after 4000 but under that it just seems to have no power at all (slow and unresponsive).

Re: NC35 Carb issues
Sounds like it's like the dealers, full of shit. As was said before, even if there was crud in the tank, unless something was amiss with the fuel filter on the tap, it wouldn't suck any grot in that could block the carbs. If it was me, I'd tell them to give it a proper service, including cleaning the carbs and changing the air filter (and plugs if you can manage to be that persuasive), and if it doesn't run right after that, or they refuse, tell them you want your money back.

There is or should be a filter in the tank, you can easily see it if you open the cap and shine a torch in there, see what condition the tank is in around the filter.
There is a slight chance that running it out of fuel might have caused some really fine shit in the tank to get into the carbs but only if the tank was dirty to being with.
For thank kind of money get it fixed, running it out of fuel shouldnt be a problem on a working bike.
Sure it is an old bike and some shit in the tank can easily be missed by a seller, but they probbaly only paid around 1000 for that bike so with their profit they can at least clean the tank and carbs out / replace it if its rusted up badly inside.
It might not even be the tank / carb issue and could eb something totally different, electrical problems can maifistest as shitty runnign too.
For them to try to blame you and fob you off immediatly without even looking at the bike gives me a very bad impression.
There are some excellent dealers about, my friends bikes rear-shock blew within a month of him buying it and they replaced it with another one free of charge, even changed out a few nuts and bolts on the bike that were rusty while the shock was being fixed.
I think its fairly safe to speak for most people but if somebody offers a warrenty on something they should at least check the bike before they try to blame the owner...
From your post it does sound like the carbs have gotten a little gunged up, fine rust in the tank can block the pilot circuit, but check what you can yourself but get them to fix it.

Yeah sounds as if it could be the pilot circuit. Did they tell you it had been serviced? If so ask were the valve clearances done.

Re: NC35 Carb issues
Cheers for the responce everyone, iv just gone and had a look in the tank and it looks nice and clean in the tank, no muck or rust in the bottom or anywere in the tank, yea its got the service history and had one recently, and was service by themselves when they got it (not sure if thats good or bad thing though
)
