Thanks to all who contributed especially Neosophist for pointing me in the right direction.

I have taken delivery this morning of a very good condition NC21 collector box via Drew (moriwaki man). Part cost £20 and with fast shipping, taxes and associated costs etc it arrived at my door for just over £100 GBP. Cannot recommend Drew highly enough - found exactly what I was after at a very reasonable price!

I will be painting it etc as advised, any other things to look out for/take the opportunity to fix when the engine comes out to fit it?

Cheers,
Alastair

Have you a break down of the costs? 400% on top of the parts cost seems rather steep
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

steep compared to what?

EMS is the only reliable way to ship parts from Japan, it takes around 3 days so I reckon that the collector box was shipped on the 9th / 10th of this month. Parcelforce will bring it when it gets to the UK.

For a 5kg box, which I guesstimate that a collector box would weight, your looking around 80gbp postage, combined with the original price it sounds around right, dont forget it had to be shipped to Moriman as well, which would have cost around 15 quid.

It costs money to ship heavy items. However, conidering the same item in the UK fetches at least the same price for a half decent one, if and when they come up and a new replacement one is double that it is a good buy.

The original collector lasted 20 odd years so this one should last a while too, expecially with a bit of TLC before its put on.
