Re: Side Stand Extending?
Hi Cammo,
I have the same problem with my NC35. Is the NC29 stand a direct fit to the NC35 too?
Cheers,
Ben.

Re: Side Stand Extending?
Apparently they're a similar size to nc35 stands, your best bet might be to weld on a small extension.

Park next to a kerb?
Could you not fabricate a bracket to relocate the mount a little lower? Although, that would require relocating the lower fairing bracket as well, as it's on the stand mount....

That's what I did , I added in about 1 inch , I used the same steel and I also put a steel rod inside the stand tube and its bang onCammo wrote:Apparently they're a similar size to nc35 stands, your best bet might be to weld on a small extension.

Won't a longer stand on the 35 interfere with the exhaust if it's put on the same mount? Mine all but touches, and everything is stock!

Yes, i think your idea of making a bracket to mount the stand lower down is a winner. Now we just need someone to make one. Kaylaspeedy231278 wrote:Won't a longer stand on the 35 interfere with the exhaust if it's put on the same mount? Mine all but touches, and everything is stock!

Re: Side Stand Extending?
All you need is a lump of nice thick material, a drill and maybe a tap. I've never investigated mine very much, is the mount threaded and the bolts go through the frame, or the frame threaded and the bolts go through the mount? The awkward part would be the fairing bracket. Having said that, if you're making an extension plate, and a fairing mount, why not just make a whole new bracket that's just deeper? One less hole to drill.....Drunkn Munky wrote: Yes, i think your idea of making a bracket to mount the stand lower down is a winner. Now we just need someone to make one. Kayla

Re: Side Stand Extending?
lol reminds me of the club foot i had made for my 916 after it had the ride height set correctly.
a 1" block on the bottom of the stand to stop the bike leaning over quite so far - until i discovered about the OE ducati stand being about as strong as a lolly pop stick - yes it snapped.
