So if it doesn't jump out of gear, why do you want to change it.

hi all when im in second gear at 10,000 rpm it goes jerky as though you are rolling on and off the throttle
but its only in 2nd
can any please help solving this

A mate of mine has a honda 500 classic racer,And has exactly the same problem,
It sounds a bit like the chain is jumping the sprocket,But it's not,He has changed selectors for new ones,
He has replaced gears clutch,It's been run on a dyno to try and simulate the problem on the road,
He just cant put his finger on it.

Then there was a mate of mine rang me some years ago with an nc30 problem,
While riding it there was a problem with the bike not driving in all gears,Not sure which,
There are some gears pressed on to the layshaft,Dont know which but the gear had began to turn on the shaft,
I'm not saying this is the problem but it could be.
