Look sorry, will get pics. As I said bike 100 miles away in a shed. And those of you who don't know a 100mile trip on a RS 125 in the rain is not one of my favourite things to do, so I I'm going home to have a gawk at it tomorrow, when/if it stops

Right back from home. I DID NOT TAKE PICS, because, after tracing back the wire, I found that the owner of the replacement loom had taken one of the wires out of the connectors (where it must have burned out or corroded) and simply put a nice terminal on.
SOrry to take up time and thanks for the advice.
Still doesn't leave me with a running bike but it'll be brought over to a electrics specialist tomorrow (ironically in the back of a horse box that is suffering electrical probs itself) so all ma be sorted.
