Some of the bikes that I have owned and still own, I never went to see in the flesh and not had a major problem with them, well not one that I can't fix. I do usually try to go and see the bike before I buy them (so I know what I'm dealing with). But I do understand where you are coming from. Some of us prefer to take risks to get what we want, I suppose you can class me as being one of those people
.Also, I haven't yet paid for the bike, it is been delivered to mine, so I still have the chance of saying 'No I don't want it because of *insert possible problem here*'.
