Re: CB400 NC31 Idle Adjustment
Hi the NC31 uses a cam chain with automatic adjustment it was only the early CB1 that used the CBR cam gear drive. This was probably a noise and cost reduction thing by HONDA but the cam chain fitted is a good system so no worries all the best rick

Re: CB400 NC31 Idle Adjustment
thank you for your reply, i thought cam gears were a better option?
how many km later does the chain wear out? any ideas?
actually when i start my bike during the morning time or after like half an hour from the time i switch it off, i hear some knocking noise, sometimes like also a metal to metal scratching noise, i was thinking maybe it is the timing chain? is it normal? or is it a problem? any ideas , i get worried at times thinking if its something serious.
have you faced any problem such as that?
