It may be the carb rubber on C1 is letting in air. where they all in good condition when you put them back on?

The idle is rock solid at 1500 RPMs, just this cylinder #1 is acting odd.
It wasn't the case with the NC30 carbs, I have a video of it if you want to see.
I meant the vacuum take off for the fuel tap, not the balance gauge fitting

Gave up on trying to balance the NC35 carbs like I had done the NC30 ones. I used a 2mm drill-bit and used that to set the butterflies
Got everything back on, bike idles fine, revs fine. Took it for a ride and it's fine, no bog down, no flat spot.
It's a little bit less nippy than before with the NC30 carbs below 4-5000(ish) RPMs but more lively in the upper RPMs.
Now, here's something interesting, the exhaust note has changed. It does sound differently now

That will be due to the dead rear coil
Took the bike to work and back today, sounded like a twin.... I checked the spark on all four cylinders and the rear ones are so weak you can hardly see them.
