I think maybe the tank tab that the front rubber sits against is bent backwards. The hole is misaligned by a fair bit.

Re: Fuel tank fitment...normal?
What does the front tank mount look like (the metal bit that the rubber sits on)? Is it bent or pushed backwards? I'd suggest that is the problem. And if it is bent, then maybe it also damaged the frame where the front mount meets it? My front mount was destroyed when I had a crash and the tank migrated elsewhere
.

Re: Fuel tank fitment...normal?
Thanks guys...
Well the frame looks fine...but this is the first time owning a VFR and first time having to fix it. So not sure if it was normal or not. Got to find another VFR to compare to.
Also the front tab that the rubber sits in seems to be straight. The rubber sits in it quiet perfectly...nice and square to the shape of the rubber. It doesn't seem to be pushed back.
Going to need to find another VFR to compare...I just hope the frame isn't stuffed.
Cheers

Phong mate the last pic looks like the rubber mount isn't seated correctly against the tab and the metal slots on the frame looks like they are bent upwards...that said...I haven't paid that much attention to the slots on the frame to see if they are naturally like that...I may just be delirious..
