Ok thanks guys...
Nakes - the gumtree add for carbs for R800 doesnt exist. but the the add with the race bikes. that guy i know and he is alittle pricey. but i will ask him about the carbs.

My NC 24 - carbs are jetted 118r 115f. i removed the rubbers under the standard diaphrams already. so i think i have to go put them back in. i think ima go 1mm shims. but for now i think my bike is gona stand in the garage till i have a new set of carbies :( and a new spray job. :peace:

NC30 carbs it is then - but i was told 24 carbs make more power????

They can be easier to tune.

Depends on your application and what your doing.

NC24 carbs don't have such a large air-jet as standard, which is good if your running an open airbox, you won't need such massive mains and are less likely to suffer a hole the size of the grand canyon in the mid-range.

Plus they have the round bottomed sliders with 2 holes in them (DONT DRILL THESE OUT) unlike the 30 ones with only 1 small hole.

I don't think that running nc24 carbs on an nc30 will be an issue, but setting them up properly could be.

e.g. Should you run nc24 size main jets or nc30?? I would be thinking that you should probably start with standard nc24 carb settings and work from there.

The different engines will probably breathe a bit differently, but bigger differences are in the carbs.

It might be worth checking that your carbs are running the proper nc24 needles also (marked 8zc).

If you see the other thread it might be worth checking there actually NC24 carbs

If they are 115's all around are a good start... put the emulsion tubes with more holes in them in the rears
