its not that bad smear some oil around the rubbers, and then positiong the front to in, and keep pressure on then then on the rear two use a small 3mm terminal screw driver slot it in between the rubbers and the carbs and keeping pressure on them, then move the driver side to side then move the driver out and pop goes the weasel i can get my carbs back in less than 5mins!

If the rubbers are really knackered take them off the engine and put them in a bowl of really hot water for 10 minutes before you re-assemble.

Will soften up the rubber enough to allow you to get them back on.. a smear of rubber grease around the top of the rubber also helps get the carbs in.

Don't use mineral oil... it isn't good for the rubber. I use KY.... :mrgreen:

So i removed the carbs which was pretty easy and gave them a good clean with carb cleaner.
Most of the main jets where filled up with black gunk so they where submerged in cleaner and toothbrushed clean.
I couldnt remove the pilot screws as i didnt want to damage them but sprayed carb cleaner literally everywhere.

Getting the carbs back on really pissed me off and could only be put them back on with the help of a couple of mates forcing the carbs done equally.

Fired her up and she ran with no more leaking! :grin:

Did a few other bits too including lubricating/adjustment of the clutch and trottle cables as they where sticking and also fitted a new front brack switch.

I starting going over the bike for MOT purposes and noticed that the front brake discs on a few holes have slight hairline cracks from the top outer holes.

Im guessing this is a MOT failure?

Do you not think it is slightly dangerous? Would you pass it on an MOT? Why would you even ride it if there was a slight chance that something was not right with your brakes? :o

It was a stupid question to ask really on that front! Though i did not know how severe it was as there's only a couple on the outer edge.

I will be replacing them anyway! :P

Anyone have experience with these discs?

for another £25 I'd buy some Stealth discs (all three)

They're great...

No experience with the ones you linked too. :geek:
