As far as main jet not influense for idling, we're going to setup it running well changing to 116 main jet and after that set up idling.

Re: NC29 Carb mixture screw?
Update. I'm getting VERY rich fuel micture. We have changes to 110 main jet but leaving pilot sreew on 2 1/4 for now ( but going to set up 1 1/2 latter). Bike start - not stable, but better then before.
Does anybody know what this pipe it ? I geting fuel leaking from this pipe on 2 and 4 carb. Will appreciate any advice.

Parus, the kenso jets are a very different design to normal main jets, who knows how the sizes compare to same size normal jets!?PARUS wrote: So, I don't understand japanesse KENSO company, who supply such big main jet to this kit.

Are you running standard sized pilot jets??

In any case - it shouldn't be so different. Here is screen of STAGE 2 KENSO JET KIT for CBR400RR 1994. Maybe model N. As you can see - there is main jet size is 105. On both engine I have 125/126 KENSO Jet kit and in both case it was TOO rich.

Will check my box and signature on it today and let you know.

I would get rid of the Bakudan jets and get some genuine Keihin jets in there. As far as I know, no one on here has ever managed to set their bikes up well with the Bakudan jets (they usually get given away for free or binned). I'd do the same if you're running the Bakudan needles (just a look at them will tell you they're bad news for set-up). Keihin are tried and tested - you may as well make it easier on yourselfPARUS wrote:Maybe model N. As you can see - there is main jet size is 105. I'm very confused how these guys from KENSO select jet. Please, see below ZZR400 and CB400SF, both 4-lines engines, both have same capacity, but CB400SF will be 40% more fuel consuming due to different main jets.

That what we did now. "Throw in trash" all Bakudan main jet and fitted keihin jets. Leaved Bakudan needles for now and will try to see how it works. Looks like Japaneese brains works little bit different !!!!!superlite wrote:I would get rid of the Bakudan jets and get some genuine Keihin jets in there. Very true! I like your thinking! Best to start with a known base settingPARUS wrote: Looks like Japaneese brains works little bit different !!!!!

I think the bakudan kits are aimed at replacement of standard parts (I think they could be made to work well for standard setups), it's just another unknown in a modified engine that has very different fuelling requirements.

Re: NC29 Carb mixture screw?
I have following jets in kit 125, 126 and 130... they all was too rich on stock engine and on race engine. I suggest the suitable will be between 110 - 116, but not 125 or more....Cammo wrote:superlite wrote:I would get rid of the Bakudan jets and get some genuine Keihin jets in there.![]()
