My ZXR does the same.. if I take the can off and shake it I hear nothing.. but it's the can as a different one doesn't have the problem.

Guess the vibrations make it shake inside more than I can by hand or something.

As others have said.. you won't hear it with the maggot on there ;)

I have a yammamoto system and can which makes the raspy noise too - its just one of their characterisics (sp)?

I too have tried to mask the noise with the heat proof exhaust wrap around the joints, and it still does it.

I have learned to like the noise it makes!!

Makes me think of a beefy deep kinda 2 smoke stink wheels sort of thing!!! :grin:

I had a problem like this before. It turned out to be pieces of the perforated tube from inside the Can that had fallen down into the pipework... It made a hell of rattle noise.

I removed the exhaust system to get it out... and polished the pipes while it was off... :)

Rattle gone...
