Re: My NC-30 Build Thread. Many questions!!!
So just a little update, got the heads and cylinders apart and bagged / tagged to keep all the bits in order. Going to break the cases tonight, we needed a clutch removal castle nut tool so we just fabbed one up. Once that's all apart I'll be sending the appropriate codes to order all the gaskets and seals I'll need and start sourcing some high quality ceramic bearings.
All the external stuff (cases, cylinders, heads, covers) are being sent for a good blasting and cleaning, and then everything is off to get cryo treated and REM surface treated. After which I'll be waiting on the Omega pistons group buy so I can send them along with the crank and rods out to get balanced and have the cylinders bored.
Also wondering if it's worthwhile to lighten up the gear "cassette" housing (the ones that drop in between the cylinder) along with the associated gears... is there room for gains here on removing weight, or leave well enough alone? Also should I disassemble the gear cassettes and have them cryo'd as well? I'm leaning towards yes....
I'm starting to think about other things I'll need, going to be looking for an oversize airbox, with snorkel / air scoop as my bike didn't have any of the front end bits attached. Also found that Mike of G-Force has a set of triple clamps that will work for my 600RR front end so that was good news.
New Penske shock is on the way as well! So the bits are coming together. I'll still need a dash of some sort, not sure what to do there... and a fairing bracket. Front fairing stay and rear sub-frame are going to be built from alloy and custom made for my race plastics kit.
Wondering if there's anything I've missed so far, as this is all in the states, I need to plan very well. Should I plan to replace things simply because I can such as rectifiers and other electrical bits / common failure points?
Hope to have some pics of the broken motor up soon!

Re: My NC-30 Build Thread. Many questions!!!
So I've been sidetracked with numerous life issues, along with my normal track / race bike needing a motor rebuild of it's own. I'm hoping to get the NC back on track in the coming months, and will keep everyone updated :D
