G-Man, well thats a relief
but I still don't love the idea of parking in neutral, and my bike dies when its cold if you don't keep the throttle cracked. i could up the idle, but then it idles too high when its warm.

Just turn the screw up while its cold and back down again when its warm
I do it and it doesnt exactly take much effort :D

Re: Don't cut the wrong wire!
Right....
Thanks for offer G-MAN but I finished it off today. Only took a couple of hours so am pretty chuffed with myself! Wasn't as bad as I thought once I got my head into gear.
I also installed the 12v power socket that only comes on when the bike is on (to prevent battery drain) and a battery charger connection that lets me plug it in without removing the seats.
I would show you a pic but I have just put it all back together. Wiring is a bit of a mess, they all need trimming really but didn't want to do that until I had made sure it was all working.
Alarm seems to work great, haven't worked out how to turn it "off off" yet, which would be handy as I am re-spraying the body work over the next few days and don't really want to have to keep disconnecting it....
My bike starts up without choke usually so the remote start works like a dream (will have to see as it gets a bit colder though)...
G-MAN is right, if you forget to turn it off then it automatically kills the engine after 10 min. To be honest, I’m probably only going to use it to freak people out!
The alarm is a SPY 5000m so if anyone is installing one or a cig lighter style power point then I now may be of some help!

Re: Don't cut the wrong wire!
That's good am glad its sorted. Sounds like your instructions was in English , I had mine in Chinglish and could only work from the diagram of which the never talked about a relay or any pics of a relay to cut the coils wen its triggered and had to get one at an Audio center but hey its a gudn now and all works fine.
I leave the on/off switch in the on position and pull the choke to were the bike starts best and leave the bike in neutral before I go in for the night but don't open the tap as I am always there before it runs out and that works for me. Trail and error suppose

Re: Don't cut the wrong wire!
I did get the Chinglish one! It's crap, which is why I don't know how to turn it off, given up trying so I don't piss off the neighbours...
However... I also got a set of fitting instructions from the supplier who asked in advance what my bike was so he could label up the wire colours. The problem I was having was that I was trying to be a little more adventurous but I will pass on my findings to them to help their future customers.
I’m going to plug them as they have been incredibly helpful and really shit hot service. Very pleased!
Purchased from N Cook Security 08450 52 12 42
Cost me about 70 quid I think, bargain.
