Yeah, quite possibly.

Are you still running the standard filter with the bigger airbox?

Induction is usually what the main jet size is based on when it comes to these bikes I find.

You'll know when it's lean, it will refuse to rev to redline at high loads (3rd or 4th gear). If it is still revving out then only minor main jet size adjustments will be needed.

Spot on, in 4th+ it will (yet very hesitantly) rev to the limiter but it isn't smooth at all.
And i am using the standard filter yes, as im aware that this is often the best anyway.
Thanks for your advice Stickshift.

What was the Tyga system like to fit? would it fit straight on to my Titanium blue flame end can?

The Tyga system was dead easy to fit, the pain in the a*se was removing the standard system as the rear cylinder manifold part was difficult to get to and a couple studs needed 24hrs to soak in half a can of WD40 before they budged! lol

I believe the external diameter of the Tyga system is 52mm so as long as your blue-flame is the same im pretty sure it will slip on with the aid of some exhaust putty and a decent stainless clamp to secure it in place. The sound of an after market exhaust system is amazing, its 'raspy' and really throaty. Not forgetting the extra mid-range power. Although, i have a dyno run this thursday so we will see exactly what (if any) the true gains are!

If your end can is marked as road legal then im sure with the aid of a baffle i reckon it will be fine for the MOT but its always at MOT'ers discretion anyway :peace:

The problem with exhausts is that if they say "not for road use" or "competition use only" then they cannot pass the MOT.

The noise of a system is discretionary - I have had full and half systems for a long time now and never failed on an exhaust.

As long as it is not stupid loud..like a maggot or chavvy stubby then you'll be right

i THINK MY END CAN IS LEGAL IT DOESNT HAVE ANY MARKINGS AS YOU HAVE STATED. I WAS JUST MAKING SURE THAT IF INVEST IN A FULL TYGA SYSTEM AND SLOT MY BLUEFLAME WITH DB KILLER BAFFLE ON THE END. I WASNT GOING TO GET PULLED UP AT THE MOT AND GET TOLD TO CHANGE IT.

Update:

Ive managed to persuade seastar to allow me to benchmark both my Tyga can and the Scorpion can back2back in the same session
Hmmm. I wonder which will perform the best :?
