NC30 Boffin's, Help Required.

Post by alexwitham » Thu Dec 10, 2009 6:17 pm

Looking to tinker with my carbs within the near future and thus requiring the removal of the crankbreather hose which goes from the crankcase housing to the bottom of the airbox, anybody 100% sure what the external size of the crankbreather outlet is so I can pop on a k&n type filter? i.e - similar to this - http://www.wilcodirect.co.uk/index.php? ... ts_id=4060" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thank you kindly.

Are you removing the airbox then?

If so, why not go for a hose to catch tank and do it pukka style as shown in Martin's bike build thread?

Or do it cheap style, like me, and use a hose to the frame castings and breathe into that?

Correct, Im just playing with a few ideas over winter.

(It was 15mm, thanks Mart).

I've put on a K&N Crankcase filter for the time being, it will also stop hot/oily air mixing with the nice cool air coming in through the snorkel. Every little helps :|

A catch tank isn't on my 'top-do-list' yet. Until my engine gets covered in oil, then I may have to sort one.

Thanks fellas.
