oh Indeed, theres loadsa variables like springs, slide resistance etc that will affect the synch of the carbs more than a FI system would.
A nice smooth idle can be achieved by balancing the carbs using the mainfold take off's though.. this takes into account the differences in carbs (at whatever rpm you are synching) as its' after the carbs :)
