Maxton shock spring rates

Post by Drunkn Munky » Fri Aug 07, 2009 8:48 pm

I brought a barely used 2nd hand Maxton shock some time ago that was im told set up for a 14 stone rider, a bit over the top for me being 12 stone tops but ive been using it lately on the track and it seems ok to me. Seeing as ive got the bike stripped down ive taken the shock apart to see what rate spring is fitted and the only number i can find is on top of the spring and reads 1020. Anyone know if this is the spring rate and if so is this right for my weight and the bike (NC35)?
