OK, I've found a fiche. What's the significance/difference of 'NH196' vs 'R1234' ?
I ask as am after a bit for the seat unit that supports the seat lock barrel and screws in with 2 screws from the top. 2 different ones are listed...

Re: NC30 codes
Hang on, is that a paint code?
R134 is listed next to '3L' and NH196 is listed next to '3M'. Which would be for my 1989 NC30 please? Am I right to think the '3L' as implies earlier...?

Re: NC30 codes
Yup, L models are 1989.
All the rest of the models are pretty much the same (parts wise), the L is different in some repescts.

Re: NC30 codes
Whoops my bad!
1989 models are 'K' model bikes.
Looking at this parts manual it appears that yours would be NH196 Gloss White if it is a K model bike.

Re: NC30 codes
Thanks. From looking at that link, my bike's seat unit is mainly red and it's a 1989 model.
So part 14 for me would be 83604-MR8-000ZA...?

Re: NC30 codes
Yep that's correct.
There were only 2 nc30 colour schemes available in 1989, the red/white/blue (of yours?), and the silver/black.
