Hi guys went out today for a blat down to the coast, the bike was singing all the way down, on the way home it just stopped @ a roundabout, the dash lights where very dim, the bike would not turn over, took the undertray off (tyga) & the regulator/rectifier was red hot & smoking, the battery too was very hot. WHY!!!???? HELP.
Was it because i was on a long hot run? has the regulator just died as i know the nc30s are known for them to go? will it have damaged the battery ? and if i was to get a new regulator/rectifier would this be sorted ?
Regards spliff.

Have a look at this thread;

Or do a reg/rec search. There is loads of info on here.
Good luck
