Post by dave6970 » Tue Mar 31, 2009 7:48 pm

A friend of mine has just bought a tatty L reg NC30 with a 33bhp restrictor kit fitted to it.
We need to remove it to get it full power again ,where will it be.
Is it in the airbox ,carbs or electronically done ?

whip the carbs off, and there will be a washer in each of the inlet rubbers. they are your restrictors, take them out, and fit the carbs. Job Done!!

As said above, they just sit in each of the inlet rubbers once the carbs are off.
Don't mean to be cheeky... but any chance he'd be selling them once they're out?
Just i need some!

hey,

I just recently got my nc30 91.. my insurance company are asking for a restricted certificate,or conformation the bike is restricted to 33 bhp  as im still under 21 :D

Does any body, know what type of certificate to give, without actually restricting it.. or do i have to tke it to the garage and tell dem to put it in????

Or has any body restricted it (legitly) and send me a copy of there certificate?? plzz..

you'll need to get it restricted, once the restrictors are in get it on the dyno and the readout will prove it's only 33bhp, then send the printout to your insursance company, certificate has to be specific to your bike.

this old chesnut about 33bhp and insurance too...if you are on an A1 licence then just man up, ride the bike within the law and learn to go around corners...then when you are legally allowed, sell the washers, get a tank of fuel and go and enjoy the new feeling bike.

does my fruit all this invalid insurance bollocks :Rulez: :Soap:

thanks dave but another forum member generously gave me some ;) mine ARE staying in the bike btw.
as for selling, on here most people know they're worthless but on ebay some just went for £15, £40 with a certificate to prove they're legit washers.
