Hi
I've had problems with the fuel tap not shutting fully off on my NC30 due to it having the HRC tap mod done, despite changing taps twice it’s caused me lots of grief so I'd like to reverse the mod.
However as it was done before I bought the bike I was hoping for some help. Firstly I need the get the fuel tap vacuum hose and I assume also the brass fitting it fits onto that would have been attached to one of the cylinders? Does anyone know where I could still buy these parts? Also does anyone have a picture of where this fitting would have attached to as whilst I believe I've tracked down the loc and seen a screw that seems out of place I don't want to get it wrong!
Thanks for any hep given.
Regards
Dan

Re: Reversing HRC Fuel tap mod
A tap may leak in the "off" position even if it has not been modified
If modified, you will need rubber hose, 2 clips, brass fitting and aly washer, fitted to front right I/L stub.
Try D Silver.
Try sucking on the vacuum hose to see if the diaphragm is working, you will hear it, and of course fuel will flow in the "on" positon.
However, if the tap HAS been modified, the diaphragm may be cut or altered to give full flow and/or the spring and/or spacer removed. The diaphragm will still be there to seal between the end cover, set plate and tap body.
I am not sure if diaphragm, spacer or spring are available, but if you have spare taps then use parts from them
Dave.

Re: Reversing HRC Fuel tap mod
1 of my taps leaks and it hasn't been hrc modded, it's because the ball bearing in the tap doesn't seal well enough from wear. My other one has been hrc modded and doesn't leak at all...
The fuel tap parts aren't avaialble separately, the unit is sold as a whole.
It might be worthwhile trying to get your hands on a good condition used one.

I have several good condition second hand units, £12 delivered each within the Uk. Hope this helps, Paul.
Need any used Nc30 parts? Want to fit a Ducati front end to your Nc30? If so give me a shout.
