Budget rear shock

Post by craigs23 » Sun May 01, 2016 10:10 am

Thinking of getting a new rear shock for my NC29 as the current one is way passed its best.

Has anyone got any experience with a YSS or Hagon fitted to their CBR, trying to decide between the two...

Let us all know what they're like... As they're super cheap compared to the likes of nitron.

New shock for the CBR

Which looks a bit slimmer and a little longer than the tired old podgy thingy...

But fits nicely (that slimness certainly came in handy squeezing between the frame and the CBR's coolant bottle):

Good excuse for a decent ride methinks.

Well being Sunday and nice and sunny out, decided to give the CBR a proper run for a change.

Took a bit of tinkering to get the shock set up to how I like it, but got to a nice compromise between composure and comfort, although iI'd have to say it's not the plushest / most confidence inspiring of shocks: it's a little sketchy when the road surface is poor, but feels great on a smooth flowing A road - although still need to get to the edges of my Rosso 2s ;)

A definite improvement over the tired shock that came off though.

Look nice that does,,maybe a bit more tweaking will get it a bit more to your liking, but I've heard they're good shocks
