How many links and pitch do I need for standard sprocket set up? D.I.D, shall I go up or down on sprocket sizes?
Also is it worth getting a shock with a hose mounted reservoir for road use? Seen the Nitron shock don't knew if they are recommended or not?

Why not start in the site library with a copy of the service/parts manuals. OEM sprocket sizes work for me, together with Nitron remote reservoir shock.

NC30 is 15 front/40 rear. Most people go to a 520 chain. In my opinion, the power on these bikes isn't enough to wear the 520 any faster than the 525.
As for what size to go with...I have this same conundrum. On my street bike, I have 15/42, and I seem to run out of gear. When I take it to the track I bang off the rev limiter on the back straight of the west course at Miller Motorsports park. My race bike is 14/40 and I don't run out of revs on the same part of the track. It also feels like the race bike doesn't accelerate as well either. The crazy part is if you do the math, the race bike should be hitting redline in top gear before the street bike. I'm befuddled on this one.

That depends on the gearing you choose. Stock is 104.
