Assembling SubFrame, where do all the wiring, battery, go?

Post by darin » Sat Apr 04, 2015 12:28 pm

HI guys

Noob question here. I bought an NC23 and the previous owner hacked the subframe to fit a race tail piece. I bought a new subframe and fitted that but battling to work out where all the regulator, CDI, battery, wiring loom, etc all sit along the subframe. I do have a rear fender where I think the CDI fits and the rest I have just used tie downs to secure them on. But I like to make things right and proper so hoping someone has some pics of where everything sits in the subframe so I can work it out. I have a feeling I might be missing some 'boxes' or 'housings' for this stuff...

Help would be appreciated guys, thanks

A Haynes manual and parts digram book may be of help here. They are maybe in the docs library here. The parts book will show the general position of the parts.

Also on the subframe look for small flat nail head shapes, this is what the plastic clips attach too for the wiring.

Hi,

If you have the battery box then most of the bits go onto that. Fuel filter, fuel pump and pump relay. The rectifier goes on the left side of the subframe, there are bolt holes for it.

Can't help with the cdi really but expect it to be under the passenger seat (that's where mine is).

Regards, Dave.

OK Thanks. does anyone have a photo, that will help a lot. Again Ive just made a plan and used tie downs to keep things in place but I do think I am missing a few clips, etc and want to get them but a photograph will help me a lot in this endeavour
