Downpipe cold ?

Hi guys
Just started my bike after a few mths and no 1 cylinder downpipe is not warming up anywere as hot as the other 3 but bike seems to be ticking over and reving up ok any ideas

You might need to clean carbs out.if its been stood for a few months.carbs are probally gummed up..

I thought it would be carbs mate wouldnt have a clue were to start to be honest mate

Hmm.not easy to explain what to do.but its easy enough...take tank of.airbox of.remember where all pipes/bolts go(take pics on fone if you have to)of with carbs.undo the floatchambers.clean them out(one at a time).put it back together!!shop is going to charge at least 2 hours labour(£70)..so have a go.

I would be tempted to take it for a blast, get the revs up and it may free itself.

Could be a sticking float, you could also try emptying the float bowel of fuel.

I would try a few things before taking it apart, the fuel bowel can easily be emptied with a longish screwdriver.

If its getting hot but not as hot as the others ( spray water on them to check ), they probably need balancing.

Brill thanks for the input mate ive just got a set of plugs to put in so hopefully that and a good run will sort it
