Starting NC29 for the first time in 4 years

Post by franna16 » Fri Dec 12, 2014 6:03 pm

Hey Guys.

So I think it's time I Get my NC29 Racebike running again.

This was my dads bike but he passed away about 5 years ago and since then the bike has just been standing there.

The bike was very fast and did well in our Powersport class.

What would I need to do?

1. Oil change.
2. Carb clean
3. Maybe oil filter change.

What else? I am charging the battery as we speak.

I would try and pump some new oil through without starting the bike deffo replace the oil filter, also put a small amount down the bores. Clean carbs, check all hose. Change brake fluid as you would like to stop as well as go. The list is endless really. Make sure you have a good battery to eliminate any voltage problems and while your at it, change all plugs.

Good luck.
